For that quiet getaway on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, a holiday at Marcoola is hard to beat. A small town, it is centrally located to all Sunshine Coast attractions.

Hire a car and spend some time at Sunshine Coast attractions such as Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. Spend a day at Montville in the cooler weather of the Blackall Range or enjoy the ginger products at the Ginger Factory.

Take some days to explore the different beaches that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Drive to Noosa and explore the boutiques in Hastings Street, a stone's throw from Noosa Beach. Swim at the many beaches in the area, all enjoying the wonderful Sunshine Coast weather, which is warm-to-hot every day in summer.

For families or larger groups, try either Salerno on the Beach with its fully self- contained two and three bedroom air-conditioned apartments or the Marcoola Beachside. The latter is pet and child friendly, with toddlers; pool, spa and heated swimming pool. Marcoola certainly has a good choice of Sunshine Coast accommodation for its small size.
